ECN Forex Brokers

(No Dealing Desk + STP + ECN)

*To be able to compare commission rates, we list them all as "Commission per round turn (100K)",

But there are different ways of listing commission rates:

Example: $6.00 per round turn lot (100k) = $3.00 per side (100k) or $3.00 per 100K USD traded = $30.00 per million USD traded or $60.00 per million USD traded round turn = 0.006% of the trade

vCap works with retail clients - $5k minimum and it'll be an STP model, while for institutional they have ECN with $25k minimum deposit.

Same with ICAP, they wok with retails, but you have to contact them to learn more.

FXCBS offers a ECN commission-free account where, "commission charges have been eliminated and replaced by slightly increasing the spreads"; is this increase a same constant percentage applied to every spread and if so, would this still be considered ECN?

Could SFXB ( SwissFXBroker.ch ) be removed, please? Link no longer works, thank you.

Thank you, SFXB is removed.
FXCBS's model doesn't fall under ECN, therefore I would treat it as STP.

If DD brokers are "making market" and trading against their clients (us) then this market must be different from real ECN market, so does this mean that trading strategies between DD market and ECN market are different?
I am choosing between two ECN brokers, "MB Trading" and "Capital Forex pro". Which one would you preffer if you compare commissions, platform quality, spreads, regulation, trust :)? thanks

Is ForInvest Group a legitimate broker? They don't answer my emails.

ForInvest Group???....There is an ongoing discussion on this shady company under "Forex brokers spreads comparison | Forex brokers with low spreads" section.
Also check out "Forex Peace Army" for some more on this "funny" company which has (according to their people) fast approaching 200,000 clients and is No. 1 in the Far East. But not many people have heard of them, even though they claimed they are "Best Broker 2009".

I went to read their review at "Brokers Reviews" at this site and ALL of the comments (except mine) are their own people masquerading as Clients. Even one of their Dec'09-Jan'10 Demo Competition winner (he admitted himself in a post) is working for them. So, what sort of competition do they really have when their own employees wins them anywhere?

And their IT manager (posing as one of their clients, of course) is self praising himself by posting; Quote: "I think they have some geniuses at their IT to have orders executed such fast." Unquote.

So, draw your own conclusion as to whether ForInvest is a legitimate Broker!

ThinkorSwim recently introduced the following to its forex platform. "Forex:New NBBO forex commission-based trading with tighter bid/ask spreads and $1,000 contract size. Check the FX watchlist for symbols. Live inter-bank quotes will be available starting Sunday evening, December 6th. Live inter-bank trading will be available Sunday, December 20th."

Is this ECN or STP trading.

Thanks.
