ECN brokers list | ECN/STP Forex brokers

ECN Forex Brokers

(No Dealing Desk + STP + ECN)

*To be able to compare commission rates, we list them all as "Commission per round turn (100K)",

But there are different ways of listing commission rates:

Example: $6.00 per round turn lot (100k) = $3.00 per side (100k) or $3.00 per 100K USD traded = $30.00 per million USD traded or $60.00 per million USD traded round turn = 0.006% of the trade

Hello BiGi!

It's Infinit here. Long time no see! Haven't visited your website since September and there are so many posts since that time that it took me almost 2 hours to read through.

You probably remember me. I am the same guy who was looking for reliable ECN broker (well, as probably everybody else here) and we talked about Alpari, IB, MB Trading, Dukascopy... I am definitely going either with Dukascopy or IB.

But nowadays I am trying out some new strategies and would like to try it with any good broker that is reputable, doesn't not do any pips hunting, and in case I do not like, it will be still possible to take my money out. I am thinking about some $500 trial account and thinking that Oanda should be a good candidate for that. I know they are not ECN but I guess it does not matter at this stage of the game. Any reputable and serious ECN will require $10 000 as a minimum at least so I am not even aiming at it. What do you think? Will Oanda be good for my trial stategies?

Thanks a lot.
Best regards,
Infinit

What is your view about .. FXCH ( http://www.forex-swiss.com/ ) ..... Is it really STP ?? they take 1 pip spread on all pairs , is it real ???

Hi Infinit,

I sure remember you. It is great to have you back!
Yes, Oanda would be a fair deal. I'm positive about them.

To the trader who asked about FXCH, I would be less optimistic, there is a lot of disputes regarding the quality of their services online.

Hi,

Please revised your ECN broker list i am a little confused .

Because when i read comments i find some problems :

For example you mentioned Alpari UK and Broco as ECN/STP broker but you mentioned in comments that they are market maker.

Regards

I'll be answering all 4 recent questions/comments in bulk:

ECN is not like a market maker who take the opposite side of your trades. With ECN your orders are sent to the Interbank, where you can trade with other Forex players, including other traders.

----------

Good Infinit. Please do keep us posted.

-----------

Dukascopy is one of the best in Switzerland. Also recently MIG Investments has got a banking license in Switzerland and is now MIG Bank http://www.migbank.com/
An ECN cannot have fixed spreads, you've probably looked at the dealing desk account with this broker - there could be several accounts available. Also see the next answer below.

----------

Alpari and Broco offer both types: ECN and dealing desk (market maker) trading.
On their websites you'll find various account types, with different dealing conditions.

Hi, Mr. BrokerGuru.

I am intending to invest in FinOdds but I saw that they are located in Central America (not very regulated)...

So, I'd like to ask you:

Is it a reputable company ?

Would you give me more information about them ?

Thanks in advance,
MrJinks.

Mr. BrokerGuru, could you recommend a few reliable broker companies which are fast, I mean they do not delay the quotes, do not generate weird spikes, etc. Just simple, honest, straight through processing without any tricks. E.g. I tested FXCBS. They look good in general, but many times I experience strange delays in the quote updates and even spikes not seen on other platforms.

Addressing 3 comments above:

Finodds, how did you find/choose them? Let's be straight, being unregulated, they cannot be competitive.

Thank you for updates on Dukascopy. That's great news from this broker!

Somewhere in comments to this page I tried to name good brokers. Here it is, I found it, please have a look:
