As the other's have said earlier this broker is not easy to deal with in terms of trading. the platform is not all competitive. Good for demo dont go live with them as you cannot make any money. See their spreads and you can make the call.
Their server doesnot have a buy or sell instead it is buy by market. Stop loss or Take Profit is never in your favor.

I am unsure how there are people here claiming to have been trading with Velocity Trade for 1 year, 8 months etc when they only recently launched the leveraged FX part of their business. Either the review is for Latitude or these folks are not being totally truthful. As Velocity recently took over Latitude I think that the two negative reviews should be taken as not reviews of Velocity but reviews of Latitude.

Personally I like the Velocity Trade demo and will be opening an account with them to test their live execution out. If it is as smooth and fast as the demo I will be very well pleased.

THe broker has been acquired by a companye "Velocity Trade" and is launching a new platform call Terminal Velocity that will have multiple banks feeding prices in...so a DMA model. so they don't take the other side....so that means spreads will get tighter, no requotes and hopefully no server issues. I've gotten a demo of Terminal Velocity, and its a fantastic platform.

Frequent server disconnections and VERY HIGH SPREADS, even in relatively quiet non-volatile periods. Makes it very difficult to make money.

The fact that they are NZ-based (with all the hype about NZ bank, NZ backed security, etc.) means nothing about their service and your ability to make money. If you're looking for a good trading provider, or more importantly, to make some decent money, try other providers. CMC Markets, IG Markets, etc. have much smaller and consistent spreads, and a much more reliable computer server.

I second the above comments. There are frequent server disconnects, chart updates are choppy and intermittent, if they are not completely stuck. Positions are difficult to open, modify, and close, with ridiculous delays as long as 5 minutes, only to end with "Trade is disabled", "Disconnected", etc. You're faced with lots of "is it going to work this time?" anxiety trading at LatitudeFX.

If you call them, they'll invariably say "it's fine over here". As I write this, their server has been down the whole morning and they cannot say when it'll be up again. They've fobbed off customer complaints for weeks saying "it is fine over here" ... but now, they've finally had to admit it - their server is completely stuffed. I'm taking my business somewhere else.

Hi

Be warned, give these guys a miss, if you want a fighting chance trading FX, find another Broker.
Excessive Re-quoting, Text Busy, No Connection ,Common Error etc etc
With all of these excuses, in reality your system will be frozen, enquire, and the standard answer is the problem is at your end!!
Demo and multiply the problems by 10 for the live system.
