Below is the list of brokers who offer MT4 ECN trading.
Those Forex brokers may also offer other regular non-ECN accounts, please pay attention when choosing the right MT4 ECN account.
Could SwissFXBroker.ch be removed, please? Link no longer works, thank you.

hey bg
I downloaded mt4 from mb trading on demo.I was trading 1.0 lot,but when I made a trade it was counted as 0.1 lot.I ask them about it and they said I would have to trade ten 1.0 lots to actually trade 1.0 lot.Have you ever heard of anything like that before.

Thanks a lot for the detailed comparison list!
I was able to fill the gaps: several MT4 ECN brokers were listed,
among not listed are:
Taurus Global Markets - their website is down since early November 2009, it was time to delete their listing entirely.
TheTradersGuide - they represent PFG when it comes to CUrrenex and MT4 is separate.
TradersVoicefx - has a terrible website, I don't think they are serious at all.
Plus ODL and FXDD were listed under stand alone platforms, since they have separate MT4 and ECN (Currenex) for trading.
@trader: SwissFXBroker.ch has been removed, thank you!
@Tommy: either they or you made a mistake: you can enter 0.1 x 10 and it'll be equal 1 lot, so may be you just didn't look at lot figures while executing a trade.
If a software says you will enter with 1 lot, you should be given an explanation whether it is a mini or a standard lot somewhere, otherwise it'll be broker's issue.

broker guru,
thank you so much for this informative website: it's really amazing. anyhow, im a relative newbie. quick question: albeit a simple one. i would like to go with a mt4 ecn broker. im going to trade with a signal provider on zulutrade and they only offer: fxcm, alapri us, forex.com,fxdd,fx solutions, and ikon gm: none of these fit the mt4 ecn criteria.
any work around?
thank you,

None of the mentioned brokers is MT4 ECN, apparently.
So, depends on what's more important to you (being able to trade on Metatrader4 or trade with ECN pricing), you can choose Currenex platform from FXDD or Alpari UK or settle with any broker you've named for an MT4. With the option 2 they key role would be spreads, margins and leverage to compare.

brokerguru,
thank you for the reply: im not so sure that meta4 is so important to me. i will be setting up autotrading from a provider on zulu. so what IS critical is execution, timing, price. my objective is to let the automated system do the work and i intervene if necessary.
you mentioned ecn pricing: generally, aren't they higher?
alapari uk: they dont allow us residents, from my understanding
settling with any broker that i've named for an mt4: my choices with zulu are only the one's above.
thank you,

If you're looking at speed and fast execution, then it you'd be better off with ECN. The price in many cases is the same as with market maker: you get a lower spread, but with it have to pay commissions, it adds up equal, possibly a bit higher, depends on a broker of course.
Alpari UK doesn't accept US residents, that's correct.
I mean, after all, it is your choice to make, I would try FXDD either on MT4 or Currenex.
But it's not an ECN MT4, however, but rather an STP.

Has anyone tried Broco ECN? They use broco Investor which is MT4 for the ECN. However, when i downloaded the demo, it seems that their spreads are much higher than normal ECN brokers. Take for example: EU was 1.5, GU above 2, GJ around 4....while, these are less than market maker brokers, but they certainly aint ECN spreads. Has anyone had a live experience with them?
