What is VPS hosting?

VPS hosting (Virtual Private Server hosting) is used to keep user's trading platform remotely on a dedicated remote server, and execute trades from that server. The demand for VPS hosting appeared when traders got the ability to do automated trading using Expert Advisers (trading robots).

What are the use and benefits of VPS hosting?

When using an Expert Adviser on MT4 or any other trading platform, it is critical that a trading platform remains active 24/7. At this stage any interruptions in Internet connections, shut downs or simply additional delays in milliseconds as the trading order is passed from your PC to broker's terminal counts.
With remotely operated trading platform an Expert Adviser(EA) you no longer rely on your home PC.
How critical it is for your trading system, every individual trader can decide for himself.

What are the options for traders looking for a VPS hosting?

A trader has a choice to select any hosting provider and buy a hosting package for his trading needs.

Hi BG,
Many thanks to your team and your site as well. Its been so helpful.
I'd like to suggest that since you deal deeply on forex issues, you may as well expand the forex horizon to include forex robots(ea) as to the fact that their are a lot of robots out there and only a very few handful of them are genuine because I have seen a lot.

I don't think the book on Programming in MQL4 by S.K with link somewhere within your site is self explanatory for a total novice who has no idea of any other programming language and wants to start with MQL4 or MQL5. The book assumes one should have a back knowledge of C++.
For me, I don't have any programming knowledge but is seriously interested in MQL4 $ 5 programming. I've laid my hands on the book as well as help on the mt4 platform but can not understand. I NEED MORE MATERIALS and VIDEOS that can get me to understand even if it might cost me. -IBIYE

Looks like the vantagefx.com vps service it not actually or entirelly free. On thier website I notice a statement making metion of disscounted vps so if discounted then something has to be paid.

I'm also not yet there with the MQL4 programming skills.
I'll consider your suggestion, although it would be closer to the autumn season to get this large project going, we'll see.

In the meantime, if you've got any information or links about vantagefx VPS being not free, please share it with us.
