Confirmed today, although eToro used to say they are okay with scalping.

Eszter: Welcome to eToro support ! How may I help you today?

Eszter: In order to better assist you, kindly provide your username.
You: Hello,

You: my question is about rules for scalping..

You: is min time required to stay in a trade 5 mints?

You: do you have this rule?

Eszter: yes, sorry for the delay

Eszter: you are right, we have the 5 minutes rule here

You: okay, thank you very much

Some brokers like UWC are paying people handsomely to write positive comments on their services. So traders are picking up all these nice garbage with positive and good rating wrappings which trap you to buying half baked services and your money is gone the minute you sign up.

Poor us - we need protection

I haven't heard about RIG Markets (rig-markets.com) before.
Their website uses the same flash banners as ATC brokers' site, so I would assume they simply are an IB.
While ATC brokers is an ECN broker.

FigFx limits scalping! After two or three days of profitable trades I recieved the following:
This email is to inform you that your account has been disabled.
"Pip hunting" on our servers is not welcome.

I really used very short trades hunting down to 1 pip. But they did't state clearly it's prohibited! So I think you should remove that broker from those allowing scalping!

BrokerGuru

January 14, 2011

I would have to disagree. FIGfx clearly states that scalping is allowed since there is no minimum pip value or time limit restrictions being set.
What is prohibited by FIGfx, as well as by all and every other single broker, is arbitrage trading techniques, where a trader tries to take advantage of delays in price quotes by using additional faster quote sources.

I've made a screenshot of the FIGfx's scalping policy page, because I think it very well describes both: allowed and not allowed types of scalping.

FigFX should be moved to the: "Forex brokers that control scalping and apply restrictions based on scalping activity" group:

ForInvest Group

ForInvest Group

The representative of wsbrokers.com submitted a whole listing form with us some time ago, where they stated that scalping is not allowed.
I'd suggest you double-check (and you can refer to us). I'll highly appreciate a feedback on this.

Thank you indeed!
Both MB Trading and Dukascopy are equally good for scalping:
- 2000 USD account is sufficient enough to scalp with either broker
- you'll get a slightly better leverage conditions (100:1 vs 50:1) with Dukascopy.
- you'll get slightly tighter spreads (0.2 - 0.4 pips difference) on average with MB trading.
(Here is the great live spread comparison tool: http://www.fxintel.com/live/)

It's okay to go with an IB, although I would recommend to deal directly with the prime broker, especially if we talk about scalping strategies.

Molecule6 and Forex Trading Choice offer rebates for trading when you sign up through them. I've never used rebate programs, thus any company in this field is new to me, so I don't have any feedback to share, I'm really sorry.

P.S. Rebates sound good, but I don't know how this may affect your trading & relationships with the prime broker. From the first look it shouldn't affect it in any way whatsoever, but again, I don't have any experience to confirm this.

I’m very happy that I’ve found your website! It’s MORE THAN USEFUL! Thank you for all that information!
I am very new in Forex. After reading about ESN brokers on your website, I’ve decided to open a LIVE account with either Dukascopy or MB Trading. But I am not quite sure which one is better for scalping on account with only 2000 USD. is it good to go with an introducing agent if I am scalping? What do you think about Molecule6 and Forex Trading Choice?
I appreciate your time and help. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! God Bless!

Hi parsotam,

If a company notified you about intolerance to scalping, or about any other disputes/concers they may have towards your trading style, the company has the right to prevent your from further trading by blocking your account while refunding your initial deposit.
(If you re-read the Client Agreement, I'm sure you'll find conditions which allow brokers to take those measures at their own discretion should they decide that your actions violate their trading policy).

Does anyone have experience scalping with Go Markets?

trader

July 27, 2010

agree!

trader

July 13, 2010

Go Markets say they allow scalping and they are ECN but my experience is as follow:

Used demo for over 2 months, fast and spreads where good 0.8 to 1.6 during EU and NY sessions. Made excellent profits following my scalping strategy. Then as soon, and I mean as soon, as I opened the live account and started scalping latency and slippage problems. And of course it was my firewall's fault. I am in IT and firewalls do not mess with a program you once you have set permissions. Platform is the same what changes is your login and password but the program retains permissions.

This is the script bucketshops read to scalpers in the hopes that once you opened the account and find out you can't possibly make money with your set scalping approach that you'll change strategies and try to make you money back thus prolonging the inevitable. Then after loosing a great portion of our money you go away. I seen this happen with two traders and it happened to me once before. It is their modus operandi. That's why now I open with a small amount and test them.

For a scalper who looks for less than 10 pips in each trade a frozen feed is mortal to your strategy. It also increases your loss ratio since you are increasing the odds of getting our of a bad trade.

GO away from GO Markets is my advise.

FXDD Will be the judge, scalper that lost money can be their client forever. Since I trade at FXDD.
for 7 month (June - December 2009) I have winning trade every month. I am not a pure scalper. I combine all system to trade Forex, than i received an email from their back office Manager, Lyn Chang

Said :
"It has been brought to my attention that accounts....... show possible activity of churning.
As such, we have pulled the accounts for further investigation with our Compliance Dpt"

Take a while for me to discover what "CHURNING" actually mean

With this kind of email, I withdraw and closed the account, received the money in full within 2 days

OneCorpFx is a relatively new broker, based in US.
The company is not regulated.
Regarding withdrawals you'd need to find some traders' reviews, I don't have any information.
The spreads, leverage and lot sizes are similar to other brokers and are competitive.

trader

June 12, 2010

How about OneCorpFx, anyone have experience with this broker? no restrictions, spread good for scalping, and their demo platform they claim as real as live platform. need to know about withdrawal, safe or not, many tks Guru
