i had opened an account with them (etoro). They said,"Etoro makes money on spreads ", "are interested to see their clients trading profitable"

Market makers make money on spreads, that's exactly how they tell you about their dealing desk status.
Every broker wants their clients to have positive experience, but when it comes down to basics of doing business, a market maker becomes a counter-party to your trades.

Hi
You shouldn't mention etoro in your broker list while this is a bet game and not a broker. Anyone who had any experience with them can just doubt about any other broker mentioned in here. Ask them who's there ECN, if retailfx
have any interbank connection. Ask them about execution quality. Ask them about ther CEO who comes from on line games and knows his business.
eToro is a platform that fit in the "FX Games" category but in anyway in a "brokers" section. IMHO I could change their positions from "recommended" to "avoid live trading". Last thing: their demo and live functions are just very different. Targets are limited. Stops and margin call are sometimes NOT executed.

e-toro is a cheater who will steal your pips, hunt your stop loss, trade against you and use as many technics as possible until your account balance is blown off and ask for more funds to blow it off repeatedly , with their sophisticated software. You should know a broker is very powerful than their clients who dream of a few dollars sitting in front of the computer through out the day.
I.This happens because forex is a totally unregulated market .2. Because e-toro is a market maker, your orders are never forwarded to the interbank instead they gather all the trades from its clients to stand on the opposite side and trade with them. so you can imagine the results. Research what is ecn brokers, stp brokers who are a step above than market makers who do not have a dealing desk hence send your orders directly to the interbank. Be careful there are many who claim that they are ecn, stp but still market makers. Sorry you have do your own Research to save your hard earned dollars from these Forex DONS.

Yes, you're correct.
eToro says that they are not a market maker, but rather STP.
And so, we've listed them as STP.
The summary is:
- eToro offers fixed spreads
- no scalping, the minimum time required for each trade is 5 min
- eToro is an introducing broker for RetailFX
- RetailFX is a market maker.
